Bookkeeper/Accountant & Administrative Assistant
Palo Alto, CA | Full Time
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant & Administrative Assistant with expertise in QuickBooks to join our team. This individual will manage financial record-keeping, invoicing, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and support our cabinetry business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial tasks using QuickBooks, including invoicing, tracking payments, and generating financial reports
- Reconcile accounts, process payroll, and manage expenses
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation and records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
- Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Support administrative operations including incoming/outgoing communications, emails, and phone calls
- Assist with showroom organization and basic office maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Experience with bookkeeping/accounting in a small business environment
- Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience in kitchen and bath cabinetry or a related industry is a plus but not required
- Available to work part-time or full-time, with availability one Saturday a month
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Kitchen and Bath Design Intern

We are currently seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Kitchen and Bath Design Intern. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in the field of kitchen and bath design, allowing you to develop and refine your skills while working closely with industry professionals. If you have a passion for interior design and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your career in the design industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior designers in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen and bath designs for our clients.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop initial concepts, mood boards, and material selections.
- Conduct research on the latest design trends, products, and materials relevant to kitchen and bath design.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Assist in the coordination of projects, including communicating with suppliers, contractors, and clients.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to design presentations.
- Assist with showroom maintenance and organization.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field.
- Strong passion for kitchen and bath design, with a keen interest in staying up to date with industry trends and innovations.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience or coursework in kitchen and bath design is preferred but not required.
What You Will Learn:
- Hands-on experience working with industry professionals, gaining exposure to real-life design projects.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen and bath design principles, including design programming, space planning, and material selection.
- Proficiency in using CAD software and other design tools to create technical drawings and presentations.
- Understanding of the design process, from concept development to project completion.
- Design sales training in following up on leads and orders and tracking and organizing library samples.
- Experience collaborating with clients, suppliers, and contractors to deliver successful design solutions.
- Insight into the operations of a design firm and the day-to-day responsibilities of a kitchen and bath designer.
